Takase Mana
2019.08.16

Hello, everyone (。・ω・)ノ゙
It's Takase Mana

Memi....
After this handshake event, Memi's graduation ceremony was held.
Now she has really graduated.
I still don't feel it's real.
No matter when I see her, she's always the Snow Princess Angel

On the bus and on the Shinkansen, we were always beside each other, talking about this and that.
Even though we hadn't been together recently, she was right up against me, sticking to me at the same close distance as always.
Everyone said: "It's strange you're talking so much" (lol)
We did things together, but didn't make special dates to go out. She would ask if I wanted to eat ice cream with her, and we would somehow go out and get it.
Before, I would think: "So we're doing this again?"

But the feeling of doing it again after a long time made me happy

The normal everyday life that was so much fun... That it should change so soon....

When anyone graduates, I think back nostalgically to the time we said we should all graduate.

Since I met Memi three and a half years ago, there has just about not been a single day we didn't meet. We were always together. It was really so much fun....

When work was about to end,
We didn't make any appointment, but just naturally went out to eat together.
Or she would suddenly lead me off to Disneyland!

Really, thank you for all you have done
And let's get along from now on, too!!
Enjoy your life with all you've got, eh    I'm filled with that feeling.

Soft and tender....

When Memi was giving her talk at the end of the ceremony,
I got the feeling I was now in a strange world.

There are just as many partings as there are meetings.

Memi, whom I have been together with as friends from the beginning, is going off on her journey of graduation.

There are still a lot of things I want to do in this world, too, and scenes I want to see. So I'll work to become stronger and more reliable

I'd be happy if you would continue to support Hinatazaka from now on!

And so I will stop here.
Good night

Thank you very much for reading right to the end

The title of this post is actually "Sunopri," an abbreviation of "Snow Princess Angel," one of her nicknames when she was younger.

The slightly vicious smile on the cat emoji Mana uses to symbolize Memi seems somehow appropriate, lol. Memi is a woman with many sides, from soft and tender through joyful to pushy and aggressive. She led Manafi a merry dance...and Manafi loved it.

Hello, it's Takamoto Ayaka.

First, at the recent Nagoya individual handshake event,
I was given some sessions off because of my physical condition.

I apologize to everyone who came to see me.
I wanted to talk to everyone, too, and I even started the day, but ended up reaching my limit.

However, the rest allowed me to recover and I'm fine now!

It really came home to me that I have not been looking after myself well enough.
Looking after your physical condition is an important part of the work.

I'll do my best to show people a happy and healthy me when we next meet.

I'm sorry for causing you so much worry.

We performed Doremisolashido on Music Station for the second time!

I never imagined we would get to do it on Music Station twice.
It made me tremendously happy!!

The new outfits are so cute I seem to hear them going "do-re-mi".
They really make us look cute. I want to wear them again.

I love the Vine Dance and do it all the time

And finally, at this last Kyun handshake event, Memi's graduation ceremony was held.
Congratulations to Memi on her graduation. It's so good that I met her.

Thanks to Memi for all her hard work. She really did her utmost. So much so that I wonder what I could say about myself.
Memi was truly strong. Though she was young, she was really together. A girl who held fast to her own ideas.

From here on, I absolutely hope that she will be happy.
I wish for Memi's happiness from the bottom of my heart.

It's really sad to say goodbye to Memi the idol.
I remember so well talking till dawn at Memi's place.

But from now on I want to make lots of memories with Memi the ordinary girl.

Actually, we just went out to eat together recently.

Let's go out to eat again, eh.

I love Memi!

Thank you for looking at this post right to the end

Sorry, I don't know what the title of the post refers to, either. Maybe the way the white outfits looked? Maybe the fact that Memi, of all people, graduated? I doubt it's either of those.

This is Aya-chhan's 628th blog post.

Takamoto Ayaka blog: Kakizaki Memi graduates...but we still go out to eat together

The elegant blue dress Memi wore at her Nagano graduation ceremony was from a Tokyo store called Lebecca Boutique. The director of the store tweeted that fact, and said it was an honour that Memi wore it.

The boutique gives the dresses it sells names. Memi's dress is called the "shoumen kara iku wanpisu 正面からいくワンピース,"  the "going at things head-on dress".

The shop is in the Laforet fashion mall in Harajuku, Tokyo. Here is an image of the dress from their online catalogue:

The shop is part of the Stripe International company, and carries 70% vintage clothing and 30% new. This dress is new, and costs ¥11,340 ($106). It comes in blue, black and pink-beige. The blue and pink-beige are now both sold out.

The shop's "brand director," Akazawa Eru posted this tweet saying Memi had worn the dress in her final appearance as an idol and it both made her happy and was a great honour. She wished Memi happiness, and said she thought Memi must have been aware of the name. I think so, too, since "straight ahead" is how she addressed the reason for her leaving: that it was because of a stalker bothering her and her family.

In Akazawa-san's tweet, she posted a Direct Message she received from someone who said: "Yesterday, August 11, the idol I love most in the world retired from entertainment. She is Kakizaki Memi, formerly of Hinatazaka46. She hadn't appeared in public for several months. Unable to stand being stalked, she decided to graduate from being an idol, and after a long absence stood before her fans to give them a final word, as she left the entertainment stage.

In this last appearance, Memi-chan was wearing a blue dress that blended with the atmosphere. I didn't know the dress, but I knew at a glance that it was from Lebecca. Wrapped in blue, Memi-chan finally showed us her smiling face.

Lebecca's dresses support women by enwrapping them in a feminine consciousness. For me, as for anyone else, they are battle-dress. Please continue to make such dresses.

From the bottom of my heart, I am glad there was such armour for Memi to wear as she summoned up her strength to stand in front of her fans. I too bind myself in such armour to live through modern times!

I wanted to pass these thoughts on to you, and took this opportunity to do so. I apologize for the sudden DM. I will continue to support you from now on!!"

A reply to Akazawa-san's tweet by the same person included pictures of a Lebecca dress Memi had worn last autumn:

It is called "high-neck frill dress for gazing at the pre-dawn."

Good evening, it's Kakizaki Memi.

I graduated from Hinatazaka46 today!

Thank you very much for coming to the graduation ceremony, despite it being so late

These three years or so have really been an enjoyable idol life!

Now I will retire from the entertainment world,
And live as an ordinary girl.

Thank you very much for all the wonderful experiences!

It's a blessing to be sent off by so many people.

As you probably know by now, Memi announced at her graduation ceremony after the handshake event in Nagoya Sunday that she and her family had been bothered by a stalker or stalkers, scaring her so she felt she had to miss handshake events from late April on, and at least implying (she may have stated it directly) that the stalking was the main reason she was leaving show business. This has sent shock waves through her fandom and made this a much less happy graduation than we thought it was.

When Memi says the graduation ceremony was late, she's referring to the fact it was in the evening around 8pm, after a full day of handshake event. It was also announced late, just the day before the event, and details were apparently still being decided on Sunday. I wonder if management realized Memi was going to reveal the stalking.

To be honest, I think it should have been the responsibility of Seed & Flower, Hinatazaka's management company, to spend the money necessary to protect her and find the culprit(s). An employer should be responsible for protecting its employees from dangers generated by the job, which the stalking clearly was.

The group photo includes all the members who were present at the handshake event (no Kage-chan or Hiyo-tan). Toshi-chan, Nao-chan, Ayaka and Manamo all missed some sessions at the handshake event for health reasons, and there was some baseless speculation about discord. But the photo gives the lie to that. It was a very hot day, so they were probably suffering from that.

The blog was posted Monday morning, but was evidently written Sunday evening, sometime before 1am, when HinaAi was broadcast.

The sign on the flowers Memi is holding is from the Kakizaki Memi Graduation Planning Executive Committee, probably a fan committee: "To Kakizakai Memi-sama, Congratulations on your graduation!  Thank you for so much happiness and energy and courage. May Memi's future overflow with happiness."

Here is the graduation certificate from the Committee (click to enlarge):

"Graduation Certificate. Hinatazaka46, Kakizaki Memi-dono.

"Chosen as the youngest member of Hiragana Keyaki, double centre with Neru-chan, you expected to move smoothly into a drama. But Neru dropped her double duty and went to Kanji Keyaki. However, after that you became really strong. A centre praised for your beauty, cutting a path forward, leading Hiragana Keyaki, your form and feelings bewitched fans, growing the group's appeal. As an idol, your singing and dancing were wonderfully cute and lovely.

"In variety, your
burikko character made people laugh out loud. In drama and on stage, your acting caused a stir as Reiwa's Ishihara Satomi (note: 石原さとみ is an award-winning actress active since 2003).... Supremely enjoyable! In the heat; when you broke your wrist; under huge pressure as the lead on stage; you overcame all difficulties to stand on stage. On stage you just shone, answering every question. You gave people so much courage. In everyone's minds, you were the greatest idol. You did things in your own way. May you have a blessed future.

"We are so glad you were our oshimen. Thank you for so much happiness, Memi-chan! Thank you for three years of hard work. Congratulations on your graduation. Be happy, eh.
Nyan-nyan ♪  Look toward the future and Fly Higher Than Anyone!

"Reiwa 1, August 11.
Kakizaki Memi Graduation Planning Executive Committee"

I agree with all of this.

In the photo from HinaAi, note that the flowers are wrapped in pale green, Memi's penlight colour and similar to the Hiragana Keyaki colour.

In her comment on the group photo, Memi talks about going out to eat together. This and other mentions make it seem she will continue to live in Tokyo, at least for a while, and be in contact with her friends in Hinatazaka. Maybe she will be enticed back into entertainment, if the stalking thing is solved. And perhaps not. Perhaps she will enjoy her new life even more than her old one, even if it was a stalker that forced her into it.

Congratulations on your graduation, Memi. May you have the happiest of future lives.

I apologize for this translation being late. I've been away from home, busy and unable to post. This is Neru's final post. There are two more I missed, and will post soon.

Here are a couple of photos of guests at Neru's event. First, Neru's long-time oshimen and now friend, Itou Marika, formerly of Nogizaka46:

And here are Marika and Keyakizaka's choreographer Takahiro:

I think Neru followed Marika into graduation, and has helped lead Kakizaki Memi in the same direction. I hope and believe this will work out well for all three.

Here, as a glimpse of Keyaki's possible future, is a pic of Neru with Harada Aoi, from Aoi-chan's blog:

In her remarks at the 31 July events (there were two of them on the same day), Neru said that this might be the last time she ever speaks to fans, and that at least she will not stand in front of people for a while. She continues to try to decide what to do next.

I can't find the original source for this but various posts say Neru suggested that part of her reason for going was the continuing criticism from some unseen people. She said she can't keep it out of her head, that her mental batteries are now at zero, and that she wants to spend some time not standing in front of people.

And Neru has now formally graduated from Keyakizaka46. Her blog will continue to be online until the end of August, but she had made her final post.

Here's a link to her All Night Nippon radio show on July 30.

Good evening!

Yesterday was my last handshake event.

Over about four years,
Various things have brought you to meet me,
And to everyone who has come:
Truly, truly, thank you very much!!

Gazing to my heart's content on all the lovely flowers and words,
I thought of you all...
And began to feel quite lonely.

Giving me enjoyment and laughter,
Conveying your thoughts with all your might,
Sometimes even crying,
Everyone's words made me so happy!

I kept thinking that this would be our last chance
And that I had to do this right,
And that kept me up to the mark.

All of yesterday was enjoyable.
Right to the end, you were all too kind!
Thank you for watching me all this time.

To everyone who sent me Messages,
And to everyone who made the decorations, working from early morning to late at night,
Truly, thank you very much.

People could enjoy this while they were waiting.
It made me happy, too...!! A treasure!

There's only the graduation event left
For getting together with all of you.

And with that event on July 30th,
I will graduate from Keyakizaka46.

It's something I am very grateful for

Nagahama Neru: Final handshake event

Adults,   347

Nagahama Neru
2019.07.09

Hello!

We're into July.
How is everybody getting on?

Aoi-chan has made her return!!!

I happened to have a chance to talk with her
And she was so nice that being together was calming.
She was the same Aoi-chan I love.

But at the same time
I worried whether I had changed.

A year is so long...!
Truly, truly, you have worked so hard!!

This was three months ago.

More recently, you know,
These are days I'm preparing for the graduation event.

I'm discussing things with staff
And trying the ideas we come up with.

It will be nice if we can pull this off ٩( 'ω' )و

I've been given the chance to draw things and make things myself.
I hope it will be something you can really look forward to!

When we have it set up, I'll tell you about it!

And just a bit more, about recent happenings...

I watched Utada Hikaru's
Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018 live event
On Netflix.

Her voice, the music, the way she carried herself... It's been 20 years
But her ephemeral but strong and boldly stylish appearance
Gave me power.
She overflowed with grace enwrapped in frailty...

Listening to these songs, somehow the tears just came. This
Happened again and again.

Before I understood it in my mind
My heart had already been seized.
To encounter such music is a joyful blessing.

I wonder if it would do the same thing for all of you...!

Marika-san recommended to me
Shiina Ringo-san's
(Live) Shiina Ringo '18: What's Left After Forty,
Which I have also bought and watched.

Honed to a glittering shine... Really, now!

I was zapped again and again,
Like an electric shock...

And the timing of how her hair loosened was so perfect
That I watched over and over again to see how it was done.
But I could never tell. I loved it.

I have to become a wonderful adult
And not run away from being 20, I thought.
The music and the costumes and the production filled me with palpitations.

And finally,

Why do I have my eyes so tightly shut.

Every page of POPEYE magazine was precious to read!
To read it at 20 is a blessing. [note: The magazine headline is "What were you doing when you were 20?" Neru is 20.]

That's what's happening these days!
I'll update again.....

Thank you for reading today.
