Good evening!

Today, starting in the morning,
I was at Shibuya Tsutaya [bookstore]

When I got to the waiting room...!
Look!! Fantastic!!! Cute!!

Among all the messages
Were Amigo-kun, Kakuniman-chan, and a tanuki (lol)

I was really, really pleased.
Thank you so much.

Photo-panels had been put up for me in various places
And I diligently went around signing them!

So happy...

Truly, thank you very much.
I will do my very best!

Anyone coming to Shibuya,
If you like, please stop by and take a look.

Thinking of the fact that tomorrow will be release day
And people will be lining up at the entrance
Got me more and more excited.

May the book get to everyone...

Our location shoot on the Gojima Islands
Was broadcast on KeyaKake yesterday.

What a warm little town. Truly.
And I felt again how nice Fuu-chan is.

With Fuu-chan there
I was able to have such fun.

I thought what a wonderful person Fuu-chan is,
With the island people coming to like her in an instant.

Such "human ability".
She's always helping me out. Thank you

Finally, the photo album will be coming out tomorrow!

Kakunimanju-chan is a Nagasaki mascot character based on a local food specialty (a patty of stewed pork and/or tuna in a bun).  Amigo-kun is a Goto Islands mascot character based on a calico cat with a flying fish on its head. Neru gives it as "Kakuniman-chan." Not sure if that is local slang or a mistake.

On the whiteboard are written things like: "Welcome to Shibuya Tsutaya, Nagahama Neru-san," "Shibuya Tsutaya will fully support you from now on," "Neru, Nerura, Neruresto!" (her father's catch-phrase for her: 'Neru, Neru-er, Neru-est'), "photo album with an 120% youthful feeling," "top-class first photo album," etc.

The book's twitter says that most idol photo-books are around 100 pages. That makes Neru's 160-page tome quite a monster.

Shibuya Tsutaya is Tsutaya's six-floor book and music store on the north side of the Shibuya Crossing. It feels like ground zero for Japanese pop music sales. Its 2nd-floor Starbucks is a great place to watch the Crossing from. And Tower Records is just up the street.

"Human ability" 人間力 ningenryoku (~"strength as a human being") is apparently a term from management that has come to be widely used in a more general way. It refers to all the abilities and strengths that make one effective as a human being, both to work for an organization, and as an individual.

One of the many things I liked in the Goto Islands KeyaKake was the photo of 4-year-old Neru with a group of adults in costume at some kind of festival. Little Neru was apparently absolutely determined to be in the photo, even though it was only meant to be for adults. Indication #1 that this girl will become an idol: she wants as many people as possible to look at her.
