Hello!
Yesterday's "Another Sky"
Moved me to tears.
The song Thelma Aoyama sang at the end
Was like a jewel stuck in my heart.
This happens from time to time.
Maybe it's true that when you become an adult
You become sentimental.
Because I keep listening to the songs I like,
I hardly ever come upon new songs.
So the moment of such an unexpected visit
Feels a bit like fate.
Thinking of that, music is amazing...
It's miraculous.
Suddenly it's December.
The "Rushing Master" month when the master is so busy.
I'm looking forward to it again this year.
["Congratulations on your 2nd anniversary of joining!!"] |
That's Saitou "Surprise" Fuyuka grinning away there.
It makes feel a tightening in my chest ( ⸝⸝⸝・_・⸝⸝⸝ )
As I live on
There are more and more people I feel glad to have met. Such fun.
The FRIDAY magazine on sale this week
Has some previews from the photo collection.
Be sure to ( ˙_˙ )!
Thank you very much for reading.

Another Sky is a TV show featuring Japanese people living in or visiting other countries. This ep showed singer Thelma Aoyama visiting Los Angeles, where she spent two years during middle school (she was born in Nara). Thelma Aoyama is a Japanese-Trinidadian singer who had a huge hit with her first release in 2008.
Neru treats us to an unusual word: 師走 shiwasu, which is a traditional word for December. The kanji mean "master runs." The kanji are probably really just being used to represent the sound shiwasu, which was apparently the normal name of the 12th month in the Nara Period, around 1300 years ago. In any case, Neru plays on the surface meaning of the kanji. If the kanji aren't just being used for the sound, the "master" might refer to a priest rushing around conducting ceremonies at the end of the year, or to a teacher. Is Neru thinking of a teacher, or of Takahiro? Lol.
In Keyaki Message, Neru adds a big-eared mouse emoticon to her mention of the outing with Fuu-chan, suggesting strongly that Neru and Fuu-chan were at Disneyland (or Disney Sea). Actually, the mouse ears on the "2" in the sign do that, too. It's clear from mentions and images that Fuu-chan is Neru's closest friend in Keyakizaka right now.
